1. Killerguides Final Fantasy XIV Leveling Secrets

Killerguides is a good publisher of strategy and leveling guides which I frequently mention here. They have over a hundred different guides for many games and their latest addition is a few FFXIV guides, namely FFXIV Class Secrets (link), FFXIV Gil Secrets (link), and most importantly FFXIV Leveling Secrets guide. I won’t be reviewing the first two guides, but the leveling guide is the one that interests us most anyway and I think it delivers.

Killerguides FF XIV leveling guide contains quest walkthroughs designed to help you gain levels as fast as humanly possible. Searching online for quest guides is a thing of the past since this guide is no doubt the best reference you can have. In addition to a full leveling guide, there are generic leveling strategies included regardless if you’re playing solo or in groups. Character skills, armory system, guilds, attributes, zones… A lot of information and enough to bring you up to speed with Final Fantasy XIV regardless if you played previous titles or not.

Killerguides has many different authors and their guides aren’t always top notch. This one however is written by an excellent author who really knows what he’s talking about and he made this guide a must have reference for any player. In conclusion, Killerguides Final Fantasy XIV leveling guide is definitely useful and a lot more than that. I recommend getting it as soon as possible so you don’t regret many choices you will make in the game.

1. Shokz Starcraft 2 Mastery Guide

Rating: ★★★★★ 

Shokz SC2 Mastery Guides comes from the author of the best-selling and top rated Aion and Warhammer mastery guides. I was amazed by the amount of content found in those guides and its quality, and again the author came through and made an excellent Starcraft 2 strategy guide covering pretty much everything.

You’ll find information specific for each race: Terran, Protoss and Zerg. Each guide contains best build orders and strategies to fight each race, in both 1v1 and in team matches. In addition there’s a number of other more generic guides such as the one for key binds or using the map editor, among a lot of others. One other thing that makes Shokz guide stand from the rest is videos: you can easily see the strategies explained and it’s a lot easier to understand it then. Additionally it contains replays so there’s no chance you won’t be able to follow the strategies outlined in the guide. Also, Shokz guide is the only one covering the SC II campaign.

Overall I think Shokz SC2 Mastery Guide is the most detailed, complete and up-to-date SC2 strategy guide and it’s my absolute recommendation you get it!

2. Joana’s Starcraft 2 Guide

Rating: ★★★★☆ 

Joana, the author of one of the best WoW leveling guide recently published her second guide. This time it’s not a leveling guide but rather a strategy guide for StarCraft II which contains plenty of quality information. Unfortunately in my opinion it’s not quite ready to beat the currently best guide Shokz.

Joana’s Starcraft 2 guide contains race-specific information, such as best build orders, unit counters, and combat tactics. All game types and matchup combinations are covered, as well as a small number of general SC2 guides and information.

Overall, Joana’s guide comes very close to the quality of Shokz guide and in the near future with enough updates it might become better but until then Shokz guide is still the king.

3. Starcraft 2 Mastery Guide

Rating: ★★★½☆ 

Starcraft 2 Mastery guide is the most recent addition to my list of Starcraft II guides yet it already deserved the third spot. It has very decent number of more and less detailed general guides, as well as race specific strategies much like other guides I reviewed here.

Build orders are of course included, in addition to videos giving you a better insight into the strategies explained. SC2 Mastery Guide also has a number of really cool guides which can’t be found in other SC2 strategy guides but unfortunately it’s not enough to push this guide to a better rating.

Bottom line is Starcraft 2 Mastery Guide has potential, yet not enough content to be a serious competition for either of the above guides.

4. StrategyMasters Starcraft 2 Training Program

Rating: ★★★½☆ 

StrategyMasters publishes also a decent Starcraft 2 strategy guide but in my opinion it’s not as well as the other guides above. It also contains strategies for each of the three races, including build orders, tech trees, units and buildings, key bindings and several more.

There’s also a number of general strategy guides: microing/macroing, scouting, defending and attacking, harvesting & mining etc. Starcraft2 Strategy Training does include some videos and replays in addition to user forums, but in my opinion the contents of other guides are better. You can still check the website and see if something specific in this strategy guide interests you, but my recommendation is to get my number one rated Shokz guide.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by its contents, but other guides currently contain a lot more info than this one. Perhaps in time StrategyMasters SC2 strategy training will get better and with the member forums it might be a great resource. If that happens I’ll be sure to update my thoughts about it here. Until then definitely go for Shokz guide!

5. Star2Pros Strategy Guide

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ 

Starcraft2Pros guide is my least favorite guide for a number of reasons. The claims made on its website are not entirely true, and the guide is not nearly good enough as others.

The overall quality of the guide is less than satisfactory, and while some of the strategies found inside will help you, in other guides they are explained in more details and have accompanying videos and replays. Star2Pros unfortunately is not as complete as they would like you to believe and currently I don’t see a reason why you should download it.

Even if the author (who I’m told is the same one who published the scam-like Fantoms guide for Aion) gave this guide for free it wouldn’t be worth as a replacement for any of the above guides.

1. Killerguides Mortal Online Leveling Guide

Yet another leveling guide published by Killerguides and again one that has much more info than just about leveling. It includes a quest guide which will help you quickly catch up with other players, but its biggest strength is surely in other chapters: skills guide, equipment guide for both weapons and armor, race and career guides, and professions guide. It also contains a guide on earning Achievement Points, as well as a number of advanced battle strategies to help you defeat your opponents.

Overall Killerguides once again published a quality guide for a new MMO game, and while I wouldn’t mind reading a few more chapters so far it’s really good nevertheless. Additionally, this is currently the only Mortal Online guide and it beats any info you can find about the game anywhere else, so give it a shot.

1. Killerguides Atlantica Online Leveling Guide

Another leveling guide by Killerguides, and again it’s much more than leveling. First of all, the quests guide found in this all-in-one guide pack will help you gain swift advantage over other players. Paired with loads of info about battle tactics, other non-combat advancement options, crafting and a drill down of mercenaries, you’ll be getting to know this game better in a heartbeat.

Killerguides Atlantica Leveling Guide is currently the only guide for this new MMO and it does its job of teaching you about this compelling and entertaining game very well. Check it out!

1. Killerguides Lord of the Rings Leveling Guide

Rating: ★★★★★ 

Killerguides published a guide for pretty much any game you can think of and their authors have years of experience, not only in writing quality guides, but also in playing these games and finding the little secrets and tricks to make it easier. Killerguides LotRO guide is an all-in-one strategy guide for the game covering leveling in great detail, but also many other aspects of LotRO such as crafting, raiding, reputation system, class deeds, character stats, harvesting, weapons and armor and my favorite, a gold making guide.

Basically, Killerguides offers about a dozen guides for the price of one and the competition is not even close to that. You can also check out the other guides they offer, as the increasing popularity of the game demanded more and more specific class, gold making and other guides.

2. FTWGuides Lord of the Rings Leveling Guide

Rating: ★★★☆☆ 

FTWGuides unfortunately doesn’t offer any of the bonuses Killerguides leveling guide does and is overall not as good and detailed as Killer strategy guide. While it’s probably still useful for beginners, I highly recommend Killerguides guide as prime choice for all kinds of players.

1. Age of Conan Fast Leveling Guide

Rating: ★★★★★ 

AoC Fast Leveling Guide is a step-by-step leveling guide which includes full colored maps and detailed leveling paths to make your leveling as smooth and fast as possible. The guide covers levels 1 to 80 and is incredibly detailed. It’s obvious the author knows what he’s talking about and really tested his leveling strategy which makes Age of Conan Fast Leveling Guide my favorite.

2. Killerguides Age of Conan Leveling Guide

Rating: ★★★★☆ 

Killerguides yet again published a decent strategy guide for an MMO game. Their Age of Conan strategy guide was updated a lot of times since AoC: Hyborian Adventures was released and the guide is now very polished. While Killerguides usually publishes great MMO strategy and leveling guides, this time it’s not my favorite. The guide is good and very useful no doubt, but AoC Fast Leveling Guide is simply much more detailed and therefore my top recommendation. Killerguides guide also gives plenty of advice on other aspects of the game such as gold making, equipment, skills and abilities, feats, crafting and PvP. If you’re looking for an all-in-one guide Killerguides will make you happy, but if you’re only interested in leveling and want to explore everything else yourself, get the Fast Leveling Guide.

3. FTWGuides Age of Conan Leveling Guide

Rating: ★★★☆☆ 

FTWGuides Age of Conan Leveling Guide is unfortunately sub-par when compared to two other leveling guides. It is rather good nevertheless and complete to level 80, but their claims of getting you to level 80 in 5 days are highly exaggerated. While I’m sure it’s possible if you neglect absolutely everything else in the game, it’s unreasonable an average player will do so. Still, if you want to check the guide out the download link is below, but I recommend getting some other.

1. Killerguides WoW Cataclysm Leveling Guide

Rating: ★★★★★ 

Killerguides, one of my favorite publishers already has more than a dozen successful World of Warcraft guides published. They always manage to be the first when it comes to writing guides for MMO games which many players take advantage of. Their guides are also frequently updated with the latest strategies and tactics so regardless of new patches or changes Blizzard does you always have up-to-date guides. Cataclysm however changes simply too much to be included in all other guides and is the reason why this guide was published.

Killerguides Cataclysm Strategy Guide includes a leveling guide which helps you gain experience faster than your guildmates. It’s a must have for any serious player. In addition to a leveling guide, there’s also plenty of other guides for dungeons and mechanics, as well as detailed analysis of spell and talent changes for all classes. There’s also plenty of gold making strategies helping you take advantage of the market; while everyone else struggles with making gold you’ll know exactly how to earn tens of thousands even before you hit the level cap.
